³⁵ While he was yet speaking, certain people came from the house of the synagogue leader and said, Your daughter is dead; why trouble the Teacher any further? ³⁶ As soon as Jesus heard that word spoken, he said to the leader of the synagogue, Be not afraid; only believe.

³⁷ And he let no one follow him other than Peter, James, and John the brother of James.
